The redevelopment of Palmerston Court will create new buildings of outstanding design quality that will contribute to the emerging skyline in the area.
We have looked at a series of options which will best allow us to provide high quality modern office space, deliver new homes and improve the existing public realm with enhanced landscaping, community space, a restaurant and pub at ground floor level. The current plans are for 4 new buildings ranging from 10 storeys to 16 storeys in height.
The redevelopment of Palmerston Court presents the opportunity to:
Deliver a mixed use development including offices, a mix of homes, new retail and/or community space.
Create an active ground floor made up of a new pub/bar to replace Flanagans and The Pavilion.
Provide a mix of high quality modern office space.
New pedestrian connections to unlock the area to the south of the site.
The public realm fronting Battersea Park Road will be levelled, providing step free access to the site and improving connections with the local area.
Improve the existing public realm through high quality new landscaping.
The development will provide a mix of high quality new homes which will support the creation of anew pedestrian connections and public realm enhancements.
The plans include:
162 new homes in a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units including affordable housing.
A new communal resident gym and swimming pool.
New community and cultural space separate from the main office building.
High quality office space to replace the existing outdated existing facilities.
At the heart of our plans for the redevelopment of Palmerston Court is the ambition to create a new ground floor area that includes a pub to replace the existing pubs on site as well as new community space and the potential for new shops.
The development team has worked closely with the local stakeholders and Wandsworth Council planning officers and our plans have been improved through consistent feedback.
A public exhibition was held at the Duchess pub on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd June for local residents to view our latest proposals.
